Chief Whitecap Waterway has been the result of an exciting partnership.

The Chief Whitecap Waterway is a key piece of the Trans Canada Trail; an organization that provided financial support to the creation of the CWW. Whitecap Dakota First Nation has allowed us to use the name of Chief Whitecap to identify the trail, and lent staff to the committee. Organizationally, Lake Diefenbaker Tourism provided the framework and oversight. Tourism Saskatchewan provided financial support and key staff to the committee. Mid Sask Community Futures provided administration and staff to the committee as well. Ongoing management of the trail will be provided by Lake Diefenbaker Tourism.

Finally a generous contribution from the Webster Foundation of $100,000 was critical in ensuring trail assets are in place, and state of the art mapping and way finding are part of the project.
